AMS Mandated to Remarket 2 x CFM56-5B6/3 Engines
AMS is delighted to announce that it has been exclusively mandated to remarket two CFM56-5B6/3 engines on behalf of their owner. The sale is being conducted via a detailed Request for Proposal (‘RFP’) process.
The engines, serial numbers 697839 and 697840, were manufactured in 2008 are available for delivery in the Netherlands, where they are also currently in storage, pending sale.

AMS Inspects Gulfstream Aircraft in Hong Kong
We recently performed the technical inspection of a Gulfstream G650ER in Hong Kong on behalf of an international bank client.
Our work included conducting detailed reviews of the exterior and interior of the aircraft, plus an in-depth airworthiness audit of the operator, thereby assisting the lender its in pre-funding due diligence process.

AMS successfully remarkets second Boeing 747-400F aircraft on behalf of China Airlines
AMS is delighted to announce that it has successfully remarketed a second Boeing 747-400F aircraft on behalf China Airlines in Taiwan.
Following a detailed Request-for-Proposal (‘RFP’) process, the 2002-build, CF6-powered aircraft, MSN 30768 (sistership to MSN 30765 that AMS remarketed in June of this year) has also been sold to Asiana Airlines in South Korea.
The project successfully utilised the AMS team’s extensive B747 remarketing and technical expertise to generate a successful outcome for the owner.

AMS welcomes Monika Durham as Office Manager
With experience that spans multiple countries, including her native South Africa, Monika joined AMS in March 2024.
Following a first career in travel and tourism, Monika moved into office management within media and engineering and subsequently the education and non-profit sectors, where she developed a deep interest in education and community development and played a pivotal role in the administrative and operational aspects of school management.
Monika brings extensive experience and an adaptable skill set to the AMS team and we are delighted to have her onboard!

AMS Inspects Gulfstream G550 Aircraft
AMS recently conducted the physical inspection and records’ audit of a beautiful Gulfstream G550 aircraft on behalf of a longstanding bank client.
The aircraft itself was inspected in the United States; whilst the accompanying aircraft records were simultaneously reviewed in the Middle East.
The project demonstrated our ability to conduct technical work at short-notice and simultaneously across multiple international jurisdictions.

AMS exclusively mandated to sell five B747-400 Freighters
AMS Aircraft Services (‘AMS’) has been exclusively mandated to sell, via a Request For Proposal (‘RFP’) process, five Boeing 747-400 Freighters on behalf of China Airlines.
The aircraft, all CF6-powered, were manufactured between 2001 and 2003 and are available for delivery from April through October 2024.

AMS mandated to source and acquire two Airbus A320 CEO aircraft via operating lease
AMS has been exclusively retained to source and acquire, via operating lease, two Airbus A320-200 aircraft on behalf of a European airline.
Whilst AMS and its client are engine agnostic, the aircraft are to be no older than eighteen years of age and in a single economy-class configuration.
The aircraft are due to enter service from 1Q/2024.

AMS sells Airbus A319
AMS is delighted to announce that it has successfully remarketed an Airbus A319-100 aircraft on behalf of the owner.
The 2009-build aircraft, MSN 3818, was formerly in service with Chair Airlines in Switzerland.

AMS Advises Crianza Aviation In Respect of A380 Acquisition and Part-out
AMS is delighted to have advised Crianza Aviation in respect of its acquisition of an Airbus A380 for part-out. The aircraft, MSN 058, was first purchased in 2011 and subsequently leased to Singapore Airlines.
Crianza has credited AMS with ensuring a smooth redelivery of the aircraft from Singapore Airlines to the lessor, but also in playing a key role in evaluating the secondary market and providing commercial and technical advice in respect of the aircraft's acquisition and part-out.

Press Release: Review of 2022
AMS was busy remarketing aircraft, inspecting aircraft and managing the acquisition, return and storage maintenance of leased aircraft during 2022.
Having acquired a total of twenty-one aircraft for its clients during the previous calendar year, AMS continued in the same vein by acquiring two Boeing 747-400F (nose loading factory freighters) following their reactivation after twelve years in storage, with both aircraft now being in active service. In terms of remarketing, AMS successfully bought and sold two Boeing 737NGs, and is remarketing two A330-300s, two A319-100s and an A380 on behalf of their owners.
In addition to managing the technical service needs of our parent company, AMS focused on the work generated by third-party acquisitions and remarketing. This included: negotiating early termination, storage and tear down agreements; managing stored aircraft; managing the assessment and repair of aircraft damage; and conducting records and in-depth Airworthiness Directive reviews for transitions on behalf of a variety of airlines and owners. AMS continued to provide ongoing technical support to the financiers and owners of private and corporate aircraft.
Finally, AMS was delighted to welcome new Managing Director, Simon McLean, who replaced company founder and longstanding Chief Executive, Mike Skinner, in September of 2022. Mike will be retiring at the end of January.

AMS to attend EBACE in Geneva, 23-25 May
AMS Regional Director, Dominique Leonardon, will next week be in Geneva for the European Business Aviation Convention and Exhibition (‘EBACE’).

AMS reports busy 2021
AMS acquired a total of twenty-one aircraft for its clients during calendar year 2021 – these included B747-400 factory freighters, BCF freighters, Combi aircraft, B747-400 Pax aircraft (for modification to “preighters”) and related engines. In addition, the company sold two B737-800 aircraft for P2F conversion and is actively remarketing a pair of A330-300 aircraft on behalf of their owners.
In addition to the technical work generated through acquisitions, AMS managed the technical service needs of parent company, EastMerchant. This included the sale & leaseback of two B787-10 and one A350-900 with Singapore Airlines; the redelivery, off lease, of two A330-300 aircraft in Southeast Asia; and assorted routine mid-lease inspections.
For third party clients AMS managed the delivery of an A330-300 and the appraisal of numerous corporate aircraft, for financiers and investors, in locations across Asia, Europe, the Middle East and the United States.

AMS provides vendor due diligence services to Jefferies
AMS recently partnered with engineering and design consultants Arcadis and provided aircraft technical, market valuation and advisory services to Jefferies in respect of the divestment of Rolls-Royce and Babcock's shareholdings in AirTanker Holdings Limited (‘AirTanker’).
AirTanker owns a fleet of fourteen Trent 772B-powered Airbus A330 Voyager Multi Role Tanker Transport (MRTT) aircraft operated for the UK's Royal Air Force.
